Your Zakat is “Amanah” to us which will only be used for Zakat eligible projects. Usually, we spend Zakat money on orphans and widows. This year, we are starting a new project “Feed The Poor” where we will provide monthly ration to the poor (Zakat eligible) families.

According to Islamic principles, Zakat can only be spent on the following areas:

1. The poor

2. The destitute

3. Zakat administrators.

4. Those whose hearts are to be reconciled, meaning new Muslims and friends of the Muslim community.

5. Those in bondage (slaves and captives)

6. The debt-ridden.

7. In the cause of God.

8. The traveller
